Affiliate programs are one of the best ways to make money as a blogger. After all, you’re probably already sharing the products you love and use every day, so utilizing affiliate links to make a commission on clicks and purchases your followers are making from your recommendations is a no-brainer.
With so many affiliate programs out there, it can be hard to figure out which ones make the most sense for you, especially when you throw individual retailer affiliate programs into the mix! To make things easier for you, I’ve rounded up the best affiliate programs for bloggers so you can start making (more) passive income on the items you’re already sharing!
The Best Affiliate Programs for Bloggers
LTK
Previously known as LIKEtoKNOW.it, LTK is one of the most popular affiliate programs used within the blogging industry. Not only do they have an easy and straightforward creator dashboard for keeping products organized, but they also have a wonderful creator app (great for linking products on the go!) land a consumer-facing app that makes it easy for your audience to shop your links.
Thousands of brands are affiliated with LTK and commission varies from brand to brand. On average, the commission is typically between 7% and 15%. You’ll occasionally see brands offering commission that is lower or higher, but not very often.
ShopStyle Collective
Similar to LTK, ShopStyle Collective is another product-based affiliate program that allows you to create affiliate links and shoppable widgets for your favorite products to share on your blog and social media. The ShopStyle Collective platform also has some great features including sold-out product notifications, the ability to easily update products in a widget, advanced analytics, and more. The commission per product varies from retailer to retailer but the average is between 5% and 15%, with some bands offering commission closer to 20%.
Amazon Associates
If you share a lot of products from Amazon with your audience, applying for the Amazon Associates program could be a really great fit! Instead of a generalized affiliate program like LTK and ShopStyle Collective, Amazon Associates only allows you to make affiliate income through the Amazon website. With Amazon Associates, you’ll not only be able to create affiliate links and shoppable widgets, but you’ll also be able to build out your Amazon Storefront as well, which makes it easy for your audience to shop your favorite Amazon finds, products you love, and more.
